By now you have probably tried all sorts of diets and found that it can be impossible to stick to any diet for an extended period.  As soon as you stop dieting, you just gain back the weight…. and maybe more!  Does this sound familiar?

 

Here at Emergence I can help you get to where you want to be.  When we are born, we all have the internal capacity to know exactly how much we need to eat.  Newborn babies all eat different amounts of food and it is the baby that knows when to stop.  Not the person feeding them.  Life situations have made some of us lose this capacity to know, such as having to clear your plate as a child, being given food to cheer you up or as a treat.  All of these things will have over time created new unhelpful habits and these are the ones that I can help you to break.  I achieve this by teaching your mind to listen to your body and eat only when you are hungry and stop when you are full.  Training you to enjoy smaller portions, enjoying healthy eating habits and helping you to get more motivated to exercise.

 

Many people find sweet, fatty junk foods or even too much bread too hard to resist.  You are probably aware that sugar is highly addictive and many of our fast foods and breads can contain up to two teaspoons of sugar.  This can give you an immediate buzz but then after as little as 30 minutes your blood sugar levels dip lower than before.  As a result of this you need another fix and before you know it you are back eating something else with sugar in it.  Hypnotherapy can help you to retrain your cravings for sugar to a more acceptable level.

Hypnotherapy is not a diet; it is not a restriction.  You won’t feel like you are going without.   It will teach you a new way of thinking and feeling.  You will learn to respect your body and learn to fuel it with what it deserves, when it deserves it.
